Author Guidelines

Before submitting your manuscript, Please read carefully the submission guidelines as follows:

A. General Requirements

The minimum standard requirements of Industrial Engineering Journal must be:

  1. Manuscript must be written in English or Indonesian.
  2. The length of submitted manuscript is at least 6 pages and no more than 12 pages. Editors will be evaluated if the papers are needing more pages than 12 pages.
  3. Use of a tool such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote for reference management and formatting, and choose IEEE style
  4. Make sure that your paper is prepared using the IEJ paper template before submitting to IEJ

B. Structure of The Manuscript

The manuscript must be prepared and suggested present follow the structure:

  1. Title. The title of the paper is maxed 10 words, without Acronym or abbreviation
  2. Abstract. The Abstract has a maximum 250 WORDS until 300 WORDS; No citation; State in the abstract a primary objective, research design, methodology, main outcomes, and results, and the conclusions.
  3. Section structure. Authors are suggested to present their articles in the section structure: Introduction - Method - Algorithm (optional) - Results and Discussion – Conclusion
  4. References. Expect a minimum of 15 references primarily with a minimum of 80% journal articles that have a reputation and are not more than 5 years old.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
 

Copyright Notice

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.

All articles in this journal may be disseminated by listing valid sources, and the article's title should not be omitted. The content of the article is liable to the author.

Authors can enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book) with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.

Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) before and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges and earlier and greater citation of published work.

In disseminating articles, the author must declare the Industrial Engineering Journal (IEJ) as the first party to publish the article.
