Corrections

If an error or mistake is identified in a published article that does not affect the overall conclusions, the journal will issue a correction notice. This could include errors in the abstract, text, figures, or references. The correction will be published alongside the original article to maintain the article’s accuracy and transparency.

Types of Corrections:

  1. Typographical errors
  2. Minor errors in data or references
  3. Changes that do not alter the overall findings or conclusions of the paper

Procedure for Corrections:

Authors, editors, or readers can request a correction by contacting the editorial team. Upon reviewing the request, if necessary, a correction notice will be issued, and the updated version will be made available online.

Retractions

Articles may be retracted if serious errors, ethical violations, or misconduct are identified after publication. Retraction may occur due to the following reasons:

  1. Plagiarism or duplicate publication
  2. Falsification or fabrication of data
  3. Ethical concerns such as non-compliance with research ethics or consent
  4. Serious errors that invalidate the conclusions of the article

Research papers published in Jurnal Psikologi Terapan will be considered for retraction if:

  1. There is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either as a result of errors (e.g., data fabrication) or honest mistakes (e.g., calculation errors or experimental mistakes).
  2. The findings have been previously published elsewhere without proper cross-referencing, permission, or justification (i.e., cases of duplicate publication).
  3. Plagiarism is identified in the article.
  4. Unethical research practices are reported or discovered during or after publication.

Procedure for Retraction:

If a retraction is deemed necessary, the authors will be contacted by the editor. A retraction notice will be issued, and the original article will remain available with a clear indication that it has been retracted. The retraction notice will include the reason for retraction and be linked to the original article for transparency.

Inquiries and Disputes If authors, reviewers, or readers believe an article requires a correction or retraction, they can submit a formal inquiry to the editorial team. The editorial board will investigate the case, consult with relevant experts if necessary, and ensure that any action taken is in line with academic integrity guidelines.
