In 2014 - 2020 the Acta Aquatica Journal: Aquatic Sciences Journal was formed and led by Munawar Khalil, M.Sc with 2 published editions each year, namely April and October.
In 2019 the Acta Aquatica Journal: Aquatic Sciences Journal received Sinta 3 accreditation from the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education with Decree Number: 30/E/KPT/2019.
In 2020 - present, the Editor in Chief of the journal Acta Aquatica: Aquatic Sciences Journal was handed over to Dr. Prama Hartami to manage the journal until now. Due to a large number of researchers both at locally and abroad who want their article to be published in the journal Acta Aquatica: Aquatic Sciences Journal, it is felt necessary to increase the publications numbers in each volume starting in 2021 to 3 numbers namely April, August, and December each year.
Starting on 24 May 2023 Acta Aquatica has implemented an agreement to publish third party content online within CABI Full-Text products. The contents of the agreement can be viewed and downloaded on the Acta Aqutica page at the bottom left of the display.
