Focus and Scope

The Jurnal Aplikasi Ilmu Ekonomi is a semiannual journal, published in March, Juny, September, and Desember. Our journal focus and scope is publishing multidiscipline research in economics, business, and management. The first publication is in 2022. 

Jurnal Aplikasiof Ilmu ekonomi (JAIE) is a generalist; academic review covering all fields of business, accounting, and economics. The journal seeks to examine the emerging and state of the art future innovations in business, economics and management made possible by advances in information, communication , and technologies. We welcome constribution convering all fields of business innovations including, but not limited to information, communication and technologies application in business, coat and revenue model, business ethics, business strategy, applications of innovations in business and management, enterprenuership & innovation, information system, international business & cross – cultural studies, marketing, organization studies, general management as well as micro and macro economics. JAIE takes a broad view of business and management and encourages submissions from other disciplines if they contribute significantly to problems of business innovations facilitated by advances in information and communication technologies. The journal particularly favored interdisciplinary research and cross-functional issues that transcend the boundaries of specific fields and that relevant contribution to these areas come from people representing many different positions, intellectual traditions and interests.

Peer Review Process

The journal utilizes a double-blind review process. All manuscripts will initially be pre-reviewed by the editors for the requirements and suitability for the journal, before being sent to a minimum of two independent peer reviewers. Comments and recommendations from the reviewers help the editor to decide whether or not to publish the articles in our journal. The editor will have the final decision about whether to accept or reject the article. The editor may request the author to revise the article before making the final decision. 

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Jurnal Aplikasi Ilmu Ekonomi (JAIE) is a peer-reviewed electronic journal. This statement clarifies ethical behaviour of all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in this journal.

Plagiarism
Jurnal Aplikasi Ilmu Ekonomi (JAIE) is committed to publishing only original material, i.e., material that has neither been published elsewhere nor is under review elsewhere. Manuscripts that are found to have been plagiarized from a manuscript by other authors, whether published or unpublished, will incur plagiarism sanctions.

Editor

  • The editor of Jurnal Aplikasi Ilmu Ekonomi (JAIE) is responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published. The validation of the work in question and its importance to researchers and readers must always drive such decisions. The editors may be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and constrained by such legal requirements as shall then be in force regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism.
  • An editor at any time evaluates manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
  • The editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.
  • Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor's own research without the express written consent of the author.

 Authors

  • Authors should present an accurate account of the original research performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Researchers should present their results honestly and without fabrication, falsification or inappropriate data manipulation. A manuscript should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable. Manuscripts should follow the submission guidelines of the journal.
  • Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original work. The manuscript should not be submitted concurrently to more than one publication unless the editors have agreed to co-publication. Relevant previous work and publications, both by other researchers and the authors’ own, should be properly acknowledged and referenced. The primary literature should be cited where possible. Original wording taken directly from publications by other researchers should appear in quotation marks with the appropriate citations.
  • The author should not, in general, submit the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently. It is also expected that the author will not publish redundant manuscripts or manuscripts describing same research in more than one journal. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable. Multiple publications arising from a single research project should be clearly identified as such and the primary publication should be referenced
  • Authors should acknowledge all sources of data used in the research and cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given.
  • The authorship of research publications should accurately reflect individuals’ contributions to the work and its reporting. Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to conception, design, execution or interpretation of the reported study. Others who have made a significant contribution must be listed as co-authors. In cases where major contributors are listed as authors while those who made less substantial, or purely technical, contributions to the research or to the publication are listed in an acknowledgment section. Authors also ensure that all the authors have seen and agreed to the submitted version of the manuscript and their inclusion of names as co-authors.
  • All authors should clearly disclose in their manuscript any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript.  All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.
  • If the author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in the submitted manuscript, then the author should promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.

 Reviewers

  • Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and through the editorial communications with the author may also assist the author in improving the paper.
  • Any selected referee who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or knows that its prompt review will be impossible should notify the editor and excuse himself from the review process.
  • Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorised by the editor.
  • Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
  • Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement that observation, derivation, or argument had been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation. A reviewer should also call to the editor's attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.
  • Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.

 

Plagiarism and Retraction Policy

PLAGIARISM AND RETRACTION POLICY

 

Jurnal Aplikasi Ilmu Ekonomi (JAIE) does not tolerate plagiarism because it establishes a retraction policy when plagiarism is identified in articles submitted for publication. Plagiarism was identified based on similarity with similarity maximum tolerance of 25% which was examined using Plagiarism Checker X checking software in detecting the similarity of text in articles.

When plagiarism is identified, the Editor in Chief is responsible for reviewing this paper and will provide a policy for the plagiarism detected in the paper.

The author who submitted the manuscript with similarities ranges 15% -25% that policy is a warning given to the author nd and request to change the text and properly cite the original article so that the similarity maximum of 25%. If the level of similarity is greater than 25% then the article will be rejected.
