ADSORPSI KINETIK ION LOGAM Zn2+ MENGGUNAKAN KARBON AKTIF DARI TEMPURUNG KELAPA SAWIT: PERBANDINGAN MODEL LINIER DAN NONLINIER

Abstract


Penelitian kinetik secara batch dilakukan untuk menghilangkan ion logam berat seng (Zn2+) dari larutan air limbah menggunakan karbon aktif yang terbuat dari tempurung kelapa sawit (KATKS). Perbandingan model linier least-square dan nonlinier trial-and-error dalam menghitung parameter kinetik pseudo-second-order (orde-kedua-semu) dianalisa dengan menggunakan data kinetika eksperimen Zn2+ ke KATKS. Empat persamaan kinetik tipe linear orde-kedua-semu didiskusikan dalam paper ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk linier dari tipe-3 dan -4 tidak mampu menggambarkan kinetika adsorpsi dengan baik. Model kinetika linier jenis tipe-1orde-kedua-semu memiliki koefisien determinasi yang tinggi (R2 > 0.99). Namun demikian hasil menunjukkan bahwa metode non-linear adalah cara yang lebih baik untuk mendapatkan parameter yang diinginkan.
