PEMANFAATAN FLY ASH SEBAGAI ADSORBEN LOGAM Co PADA LIMBAH CAIR

Abstract


Logam cobalt (Co) dalam perairan dapat mengganggu kesehatan dan mencemari lingkungan. Penurunan kadar logam Co dalam perairan dapat dilakukan dengan metode adsorpsi menggunakan adsorben fly ash sisa pembakaran batu bara. Aktivasi dilakukan untuk meningkatkan jumlah sisi aktif adsorben sehingga dapat meningkatkan kapasitas adsorpsi. Optimasi dilakukan untuk memperoleh kondisi adsorpsi yang optimum. Kondisi optimum adsorpsi Co menggunakan fly ash terjadi pada massa adsorben sebesar 3,25 g, waktu adsorpsi selama 240 menit dengan nilai efisiensi adsorpsi >90%.
