Focus and Scope

Journal of Renewable Energy, Electrical, and Computer Engineering (JREECE) is a peer-reviewed and open access journal that aims to promote and disseminate knowledge of the various topics and area of Renewable Energy, Electrical, and Computer Engineering.

The scope of the journal encompasses the following:

Energy, Renewable Energy, Solar and Low Energy Architecture, Energy Conservation in Buildings, Climatology and Meteorology (Geothermal, Wave and Tide, Ocean Thermal Energies, Mini Hydro Power and Hydrogen Production Technology), Energy policy, Socio-economic and Energy Efficiency and Management, Electrics, Robotics, Embedded Systems, DCS & PLC, Signal Processing, Image Processing & Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data & Data Mining, Wireless & Network.

Journal of Renewable Energy, Electrical, and Computer Engineering (JREECE) published periodically two times annually (March and September) by Institute for Research and Community Service, Universitas Malikussaleh, Indonesia.

Peer Review Process

Journal of Renewable Energy, Electrical, and Computer Engineering (JREECE) applies single-blind peer-review process. If the paper reaches minimum quality criteria, follows the scope, and aims of the Journal, fulfills the Editorial policies, it is sent to at least two external reviewers for evaluation. Reviewer selection is up to the editor-in-chief, based on previous experience, competence, and previous experience in reviewing papers for this journal.

The single-blind peer-review process is managed using this OJS software platform. Reviewers evaluate the paper and record their comments to the journal system. The editor passes the reviewers' anonymous comments back to the author(s) for corrections. Anonymity is strictly maintained.

Review Process has the following steps:

  1. Paper submission by author
  2. Editorial office checks whether the submission is prepared in accordance with Author’s guidelines.
  3. Editor-in-Chief checks whether the paper is appropriate for the journal and if not, paper will be rejected at this point. If the paper is appropriate for the journal, it will be sent to review.
  4. Reviewers Invitation - at least two reviewers are invited to assess the paper (or more). At least two positive responses are required for the paper to be accepted.
  5. Response to invitations - reviewers accept or decline the invitation, based on their availability, expertise, or conflict of interest.
  6. Conducting the review - once the reviewers accept the invitation, they have three weeks to conduct and complete the review and submit the comments to the editorial office, with a recommendation to accept, reject or request revisions (major or minor).
  7. Review evaluation by journal - all returned reviews are considered by editor before overall decision is made. In case the reviews differ widely, editor will invite additional reviewer before overall decision is made.
  8. Editor Decision - is sent to the author with reviewer's comments. If accepted the paper will be sent to production. If rejected the paper will be archived. If minor/major revision is required, the author will be instructed how to improve the paper. Once the revised paper is received, it will be sent to review again for verification (Round 2).

To get recognition for the review contribution on Web of Science, a reviewer may forward "Article Review Acknowledgement" E-mail to reviews@webofscience.com

The review will be displayed in the reviewer’s profile as verified record without showing the review content, compromising reviewer anonymity, or infringing journal policies.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

 

Publication Ethics

Journal of Renewable Energy, Electrical, and Computer Engineering (JREECE) is a open-access, peer-reviewed international journal. This journal follows guidelines from Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) facing all aspects of publication ethics and, in particular, how to handle cases of research and publication misconduct. This statement clarifies ethical behaviour of all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in this journal, including the author, the Editor-in-Chief, the Editorial Board, the peer-reviewer­­­­­ and the publisher (Malikussaleh University). Journal of Renewable Energy, Electrical, and Computer Engineering (JREECE) and Malikussaleh University Journals are dedicated to following best practices on ethical matters, errors and retractions. The prevention of publication malpractice is one of the important responsibilities of the editorial board. Any kind of unethical behavior is not acceptable, and the journals do not tolerate plagiarism in any form.

Journal of Renewable Energy, Electrical, and Computer Engineering (JREECE) adapts COPE to meet high quality standard of ethics for publisher, editors, authors, and reviewers. As an essential issue, publication ethics needs to be explained clearly to improve the quality of the research worldwide. In this part, we explain the standard for editors, authors, and reviewers. Publisher don’t have right to interfere with the integrity of the contents and only support to publish in timely manner.

For Editors

  1. Based on the review report of the editorial review board, the editor can accept, reject, or request modifications to the manuscript.
  2. Editors should be responsible for every articles published in Journal of Renewable Energy, Electrical, and Computer Engineering (JREECE).
  3. The editors may communicate with other editors or reviewers in making the final decision.
  4. An editor has to evaluate the manuscript objectively for publication, judging each on its quality without looking to nationality, ethnicity, political beliefs, race, religion, gender, seniority, or institutional affiliation of the authors. He/she should decline his/her assignment when there is a potential of conflict of interest.
  5. Editors need to ensure the document sent to the reviewer does not contain the information of the author, vice versa.
  6. Editors’ decision should be informed to authors accompanied by reviewers’ comments unless they contain offensive or libelous remarks.
  7. Editors should respect requests from authors that an individual should not review the submission, if these are well-reasoned and practicable.
  8. Editors and all staffs should guarantee the confidentiality of the submitted manuscript.
  9. Editors will be guided by COPE flowcharts if there is a suspected misconduct or disputed authorship.

For Reviewers

Reviewers need to comment on ethical questions and possible research and publication misconduct.

  1. Reviewers will do the work in timely manner and should notify editor if they can not complete the work.
  2. Reviewers need to keep the confidentiality of the manuscript.
  3. Reviewers should not accept to review the manuscripts in which there is potential conflict of interest between them and any of the authors.

For Authors

  1. Author(s) affirm that the material has not been previously published and that they have not trans­ferred elsewhere any rights to the article.
  2. Author(s) should ensure the originality of the work and they have properly cited others’ work in accordance of the references format.
  3. Author(s) should not engage in plagiarism nor self-plagiarism.
  4. Author(s) should ensure that they follow the authorship criteria that are taken from Journal of Renewable Energy, Electrical, and Computer Engineering (JREECE) that is explained in instruction for author of Journal of Renewable Energy, Electrical, and Computer Engineering (JREECE).
  5. Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently. It is also expected that the author will not publish redundant manuscripts or manuscripts describing the same research in more than one journal.
  6. Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to conception, design, execution or interpretation of the reported study. Others who have made significant contribution must be listed as co-authors. Authors also ensure that all the authors have seen and agreed to the submitted version of the manuscript and their inclusion of names as co-authors.
  7. The author(s) haven’t suggested any personal information that may make the identity of the patient recognizable in any forms of description part, photograph or pedigree.
  8. Author(s) should give the editor the data and details of the work, if there are suspicions of data falsification or fabrication.
  9. If at any point of time, the author(s) discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in submitted manuscript, then the error or inaccuracy must be reported to the editor.
  10. Authors of the journal should clarify everything that may cause conflict of interests such as work, research expenses, consul­tant expenses, and intellectual property on the document of Journal of Renewable Energy, Electrical, and Computer Engineering (JREECE) form disclosure.

Policy of Screening for Plagiarism

All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism contents. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection software to do the similarity checking. Editors check the plagiarism detection of articles in this journal by using a Plagiariscm Checker software.

 

References Management

Every manuscript submitted to Journal of Renewable Energy, Electrical, and Computer Engineering (JREECE) the author should use references management software. e.g Mendeley or Zotero, etc to make it easier to set the library format requested by JREECE. The library format (citation format) for JREECE is APA style.

Submitted manuscript that do not use the APA style will be rejected in the initial selection process. So before submitting, please make sure that author to use the APA citation style.

 

Copy Editing and Proofreading

Every manuscript accepted by Journal of Renewable Energy, Electrical, and Computer Engineering (JREECE) to be an object to Grammerly writing-enhancement program conducted by Editorial Board.

 

Correction and Retraction Policies

The papers published in the Journal of Renewable Energy, Electrical, and Computer Engineering (JREECE) will be considered to retract in the publication if :

  1. They have clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either as a result of misconduct (e.g. data fabrication) or honest error (e.g. miscalculation or experimental error)
  2. the findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper crossreferencing, permission or justification (i.e. cases of redundant publication)
  3. it constitutes plagiarism
  4. it reports unethical research
