Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is primarily to educate students about entrepreneurial competencies that can be developed from an early age. Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) have grown in Indonesia, considering the majority of the population is Muslim. The intensive learning at pesantren can be used as a medium for developing the students' entrepreneurship skills, which can boost the economy individually, institutionally, and in the surrounding community. Some of the barriers to the emergence of young entrepreneurs are that students lack knowledge about the characteristics they need to become entrepreneurs. Additionally, they do not know how to face challenges and obstacles that may arise when starting a business. After this service activity is carried out, students are expected to be motivated to begin building a business, either individually, in groups, or by collaborating with the pesantren to create their own business center. After being educated about entrepreneurship and studying the cases of several pesantren that have successfully established their own business centers, both the students and the school are motivated to make business and entrepreneurship centers one of the extracurricular activities that students can engage in.
