Sense of Community Pada Mahasiswa Papua dalam Menumbuhkan Motivasi Belajar di Universitas Malikussaleh
Abstract
This study aims to see how the Sense of community in the Papuan Student community at Malikussaleh University in increasing learning motivation. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling technique with data collection methods of interview and observation. The subjects in this study amounted to five students at Malikussaleh University and came from Papua. The results of this study found that all subjects seemed to have a sense of community. From these findings give rise to relationship attachment, self-commitment to the community, feelings of belonging, giving and receiving motivation to learn, help from the community and others, joint interaction in overcoming academic problems of community members and through activities organized by the community provide good benefits for the development of each member's needs and community progress.
