Abstract


This study examines the "Description of Self-Esteem in Bullying Actors at SMPN 2 Lhokseumawe". The aims of this study are: the first is to explain an overview of self-esteem in bullying perpetrators at SMPN 2 Lhokseumawe, then to find out the factors that influence self-esteem in bullying. The research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach type. The subject-taking technique uses random sampling, which used 3 people in this study. The methods ofdata collection are used by interview and observation techniques. The affecting factor of the bully's self-esteem is external factors where these factors are obtained from outside the individual, such as seeing their friends bullying other friends and participating in it. There are also some of them who are asked by their seniors to take part in the bullying. Parenting styles have a significant effect on the self-esteem of these perpetrators as well. Due to the meaningful aspect, the perpetrator's family always gives severe punishment to the perpetrator, and theperpetrator also often feels neglected at their home.
