Kontrol Diri Celebrity Worship pada Penggemar K-Pop Dewasa Awal

Abstract


This study aims to see how celebrity worship self-control is portrayed in early adult K-Pop fans and the factors that influence celebrity worship self-control in early adult K-Pop fans. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The selection of subjects used a purposive sampling technique with three early adult K-Pop fans as subjects. Collecting data using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the three subjects had difficulty controlling time in carrying out K-Pop activities, made excessive purchases, had difficulty controlling emotions when someone insulted their idol. Making idols as role models in behavior and appearance. The three subjects were able to manage information wisely and understand the positive and negative impacts of idolization. The three subjects prioritized the interests of K-Pop, such as deciding to postpone prayers because of dance classes or community events. But the subject also has a positive side in idolization such as being able to speak foreign languages, do business, and carry out donation activities. Factors that influence celebrity worship self-control in early adult K-Pop fans are internal factors, the three subjects have long liked K-Pop so it is difficult to get rid of, then external factors, the three subjects are influenced by friends, television and family.
