Abstract


Gangguan obsesif-kompulsif/ Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) adalah gangguan kejiwaan ini ditandai dengan obsesi dan kompulsi, yang menghabiskan banyak waktu dan menyebabkan tekanan dan gangguan yang nyata. Wanita juga sekitar 1,6 kali lebih mungkin terkena gangguan tersebut daripada pria. Etiologi OCD itu kompleks, meliputi berbagai faktor, termasuk elemen kognitif, genetik, molekuler, lingkungan, dan saraf. Bukti dari studi kembar menunjukkan predisposisi genetik yang signifikan dengan estimasi heritabilitas sekitar 48%. Diagnosis OCD dengan melakukan penilaian klinis, kriteria diagnostic OCD dan pemeriksaan status mentak. Penatalaksanaan OCD yaitu selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) yang direkomendasikan sebagai obat lini pertama karena khasiat, keamanan, dan tolerabilitasnya yang terbukti. Gangguan obsesif-kompulsif yang dikaitkan dengan gejala menimbun barang secara umum menghasilkan prognosis yang lebih buruk.
