Abstract

Ensefalopati merupakan gangguan pada struktur dan fungsi otak dengan ciri utama berupa perubahan statu mental. Pasien dengan ensefalopati dapat mengalami kemunduran dalam fungsi kognitif, prestasi akademis dan fungsi neuropsikologis. Ensefalopati dapat muncil disegala usia, angka kejadian ensefalopati pada negara maju adalah kejadian hypoxic ensefalopati dengan persentase 30% sedangkan pada negara bekembang yaitu hepatic ensefalopati sekitar 60%. Diagnosis Ensefalopati merupakan keputusan klinis bedside dengan modalitas seperti pemeriksaan amonia darah pemeriksaan lokomotor, evaluasi psikometrik, pemeriksaan neurofisiologis (EEG), MRI dan Positron Emission Tomography (PET).
