Defisiensi Besi dan Anemia Defisiensi Besi: Updated Literature Review
Abstract
Anemia defisiensi besi (ADB) adalah masalah kesehatan global yang mempengaruhi semua usia dan seringkali merupakan komorbiditas umum dalam berbagai kondisi medis. Penyebabnya bervariasi dan berkaitan dengan beberapa faktor risiko yang mengurangi asupan dan penyerapan zat besi atau meningkatkan kebutuhan dan kehilangan zat besi. Meskipun gejala yang muncul mungkin tidak spesifik, efek merugikan dari ADB terjadi pada beberapa kondisi medis. Peningkatan kesadaran tentang prevalensi anemia dapat membantu deteksi dini dan pencegahan ADB. Diagnosis dapat dengan mudah dilakukan dengan pengukuran kadar hemoglobin dan feritin serum. Suplementasi zat besi oral dan intravena perlu dipertimbangkan untuk tatalaksana ADB sesuai indikasi. Literature review ini bertujuan memberikan informasi terbaru dan panduan mengenai diagnosis dan penatalaksanaan anemia defisiensi besi.
