Pencegahan Gangguan Pendengaran Akibat Bising pada Anak dan Remaja
Abstract
Gangguan Pendengaran Akibat Bising (GPAB) saat ini mernjadi ancaman bagi anak, remaja dan dewasa muda akibat pola hidup yang dapat merusak pendengaran seperti penggunaan Personal Listening Devices (PLDs) pada alat musik digital dengan intensitas tinggi dan berada pada area kebisingan dalam waktu yang lama. Kebisingan yang keras dan berkepanjangan menyebabkan perubahan metabolisme dan vaskuler. Gejala klinis meliputi pendengaran berkurang secara bertahap, kesulitan memahami pembicaraan terutama ditempat dengan latar kebisingan dan telinga berdengung. Gangguan pendengaran akibat bising berupa tuli sensorineural dan pada audiogram tampak peningkatan ambang dengar pada 3000 Hz, 4000 Hz atau 6000 Hz.Efek paparan bising bersifat kumulatif dan ireversibel sehingga pencegahan sangat penting penting seperti menghindari bising, memakai alat pelindung telinga serta mematuhi aturan 60:60 harus dilakukan. Pada balita dan anak-anak, GPAB dapat merusak penguasaan bahasa, ketidakmampuan belajar serta kecemasan
