Isolasi dan karakterisasi bakteri potensial probiotik pada saluran pencernaan ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos)

Abstract


Bandeng (Chanos chanos) adalah ikan ekonomi penting yang dibudidayakan di tambak air payau. Bandeng relatif tahan terhadap penyakit yang mungkin disebabkan oleh bakteri usus terkait untuk meningkatkan kesehatan dan mencegah penyakit. Di usus bandeng dilakukan pengamatan untuk mendapatkan bakteri probiotik potensial untuk dikembangkan sebagai probiotik. Beberapa pengamatan morfologi seperti bentuk dan warna sel dan uji biokimia seperti pati, hidrolisis kasein dilakukan. Uji antagonistik dari isolat bakteri potensial dilakukan pada Aeromonas hydrophila. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari bulan Juni hingga September 2017 di Balai Karantina Ikan dan Pengendalian Mutu dan Keamanan Hasil Perikanan Kelas 1 Medan, Kuala Namu. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa bakteri probiotik potensial dalam saluran pencernaan ikan bandeng adalah Staphylococcus spp. (UIM01), Micrococcus sadentarius (UIM02), Lactobacillus acidophillus (LIM01) dan Micrococcus lylae (LIM02). Bakteri ini menunjukkan aktivitas menghambat pertumbuhan Aeromonas hydrophila hingga rendah meluas.

Milkfish (Chanos chanos) is an important economic fish that is cultured in brackish water ponds. Milkfish is relatively resistant to diseases that may be caused by associated gut bacteria to improve health and prevent from disease. In the gut of milkfish was screened to obtain potential probiotic bacteria to be developed as probiotic. Some morphological observation such as shape and color of cell and biochemical test such as starch, casein hidrolysis were conducted. Antagonistic test of the potential bacteria isolate was done to Aeromonas hydrophila. This study was conducted from June to September 2017 in Balai Karantina Ikan dan Pengendalian Mutu dan Keamanan Hasil Perikanan Kelas 1 Medan, Kuala Namu. The result indicated that potential probiotic bacteria in the digestive tract of milkfish were Staphylococcus spp. (UIM01), Micrococcus sadentarius (UIM02), Lactobacillus acidophillus (LIM01) and Micrococcus lylae (LIM02). These bacteria showed to inhibiting growth of Aeromonas hydrophila for low extend.
