Abstract

Early childhood sex education is crucial for preventing violence and sexual harassment. However, in Indonesia, discussions on this topic are still considered sensitive, resulting in limited knowledge about the private parts of the body and how to protect themselves. This activity aimed to provide psychological education about sex education to fourth-grade students at SD IT Iskandar Muda, utilizing flashcards as an interactive and engaging learning tool. The method used was descriptive qualitative, involving 29 students aged 9-10. The activity was carried out directly through a small group approach that included material delivery, interactive discussions, educational videos, children's songs, and a quick card game. The media played a role in introducing private parts of the body and teaching how to refuse unwanted touching. The results of the community service showed a significant increase in students' understanding of the concept of the private part of the body and the right to protect themselves. The children demonstrated high enthusiasm and actively participated in the activity. In addition to improving cognitive aspects, this psychoeducation also strengthened students' self-confidence and courage in expressing feelings and defending themselves. Positive support from teachers and parents encouraged the integration of sex education materials into character education at school and mentoring at home. This community service program successfully created a safe, supportive, and friendly learning environment for children to comprehensively understand sexuality education without fear or shame. The psychoeducational model using flashcards has proven to be an effective strategy for preventing sexual violence while simultaneously developing caring and responsible character in children.
