Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of mindfulness on the academic well-being of students at Dewantara 1 State Senior High School. Mindfulness is the ability to fully pay attention to oneself and accept oneself without judgment. Academic well-being encompasses aspects of learning engagement and the ability to manage academic stress. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental pre-test, post-test, control group design. Participants were 30 students at a high school in North Aceh. The results showed a significant improvement in students' academic well-being, emotional regulation, and confidence in facing learning challenges. This was demonstrated by questionnaires completed before and after the training. Therefore, mindfulness training can be a positive intervention strategy in school settings to support psychological health and improve students' academic well-being.
