Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of a learning approach based on three learning styles visual, auditory, and kinesthetic in introducing the concept of Volcano to second-grade elementary school students. Given the limited attention span and concrete operational needs of 7–8-year-old children, a multisensory approach is considered capable of enhancing understanding and enthusiasm for learning. This educational activity was designed as thematic learning that combines visual media (images, videos), auditory media (stories, songs, sound effects), and kinesthetic media (science experiments, evacuation simulations). The implementation method involved interactive sessions, experiments, and reflections to identify students' dominant learning style preferences and emotional responses to each approach. The results of the activity show that the integration of the three learning styles not only strengthens conceptual understanding but also creates an inclusive, enjoyable, and meaningful learning environment. These findings provide practical recommendations for educators in designing adaptive learning strategies tailored to the diversity of students' learning styles at the primary school level.
