Abstract

The Dengue Fever Eradication Movement (PSN-DBD) is a crucial activity aimed at combating the transmission of Dengue Fever (DBD). This action aims to break the chain of mosquito breeding and its transmission. A mosquito-free, clean, and healthy environment will decrease the incidence and mortality rates due to DBD. The objective of this community engagement initiative is to reduce DBD cases in Sintang Regency through collaboration and cross-sectoral efforts. The activity spans two periods and involves monitoring larval sites, providing abate, and conducting fogging under the supervision of the Tanjung Puri Sintang Community Health Center. The results of this initiative include fogging and abate application in all households in RT 14 Rw 03 Baning Kota Sintang, along with abate application at Rainwater Collection Points (PAH). In Jerora Village, fogging was conducted at SMPN 7 Sintang, TK Santa Yohana, the Jerora Village Office, SDN 12 Sintang, and the Panca Setya Sintang School Complex (Elementary, Junior High, Vocational High School, and High School). Sustainable activities and monitoring evaluations are necessary to support this initiative by increasing community awareness and concern for PSN-DBD. Recommendations include continuous surveillance, community education campaigns, and intersectoral collaboration to sustain efforts in combating DBD transmission.
