PELATIHAN MANAJEMEN EMOSI PADA GURU DALAM MENDAMPINGI ANAK PESERTA DIDIK DI KELAS (Emotion Management Training for Elementary School Teachers in Guiding Students in the Classroom)

Abstract


The training program on emotional management for Elementary School (SD) teachers aims to enhance their understanding and skills in managing emotions while guiding students in the classroom. The training is conducted over one day and involves twenty-six teachers from SD IT Diana As-Saffa Islamic, Lhokseumawe, as participants. The implementation methods encompass lectures, group discussions, group tasks, and presentations, along with pre-test and post-test evaluations to measure the knowledge gained from the training. The training covers understanding teacher competencies, the developmental stages of children aged 7-11, challenges in interacting with students, as well as techniques for managing emotions in various situations. The results of the training demonstrate active participation and enthusiasm from participants throughout the various stages of the program. Teachers gain a deeper understanding of competencies and challenges encountered while guiding students. Such training is highly recommended as it aids teachers in effectively managing emotions to foster a positive learning environment, thereby enhancing the psychological well-being of both teachers and students.
