Abstract

Bersamaan dengan pertumbuhan era, pengumuman informasi yang biasanya dipasang di papan buletin tradisional akan digantikan oleh papan reklame digital atau biasa disebut DigitalSignage. Xibo Digital Signage yang berbasis web dan open source digunakan sebagai server untuk membuat layanan Digital Signage dalam penelitian ini di Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Payakumbuh. Aplikasi Xibo terbagi menjadi Xibo CMS (Content Management System) yang diinstal pada server untuk mengelola informasi yang ditampilkan dan Xibo Player untuk Windows yang diinstal pada klien sebagai Signage Player. Layanan informasi signage digital dibuat dengan menggabungkan sepuluh zona. Setiap area dapat berisi informasi dalam bentuk teks, gambar, video maupun animasi. Hasil akhir dari kerja praktek ini berupa Digital Signage yang menampilkan berbagai macam informasi untuk menunjang berbagai kegiatan. Hasilnya ditentukan dari pengujian fitur-fitur yang ada pada Xibo yang nantinya akan dianalisa dan diharapkan dapat memberikan kemudahan dalam sarana penyebaran informasi digital
