Abstract

University students, as the younger generation, play a strategic role in developing business innovations that respond to evolving market needs. However, one of the major challenges they face is the limited ability to develop business ideas in a systematic and structured manner. Many business ideas remain abstract and have yet to be transformed into feasible and practical business models. Therefore, training programs that integrate creative ideation techniques with a comprehensive business modeling framework are essential. This community service program aimed to enhance students' capacity to generate innovative business ideas and translate them into the Business Model Canvas (BMC). The program was implemented through interactive lectures, brainstorming sessions, trend analysis, the application of the SCAMPER technique, and collaborative workshops on developing the Business Model Canvas. The results demonstrated that participants were able to generate more creative and market-relevant business ideas while developing well-structured business models based on the nine building blocks of the BMC. Furthermore, the program contributed to improving students' entrepreneurial opportunity analysis, creativity, and presentation skills. The outputs of the program included a community service publication, student-developed business model prototypes, and documentation of the training activities.
