MITIGASI BENCANA GEMPA BUMI PADA RELAWAN BENCANA (Earthquake Disaster Mitigation among Disaster Volunteers)

Abstract

The earthquake in Cianjur had a magnitude of 5.6 on the Richter scale which resulted in 334 deaths and 114,683 refugees. Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Center (MDMC) in collaboration with Muhammadiyah University Purwokerto (UMP), made a collaborative study of kuliah kerja nyata (KKN) with other universities divided into 4 activity clusters: health, education, psychosocial, and community development. The solution offered is Earthquake Disaster Mitigation Training as a disaster risk reduction in the community for local disaster volunteers and community leaders in Barukaso, Desa Sukamulya village, Kecamatan Cugenang, Kabupaten Cianjur. The training materials provided: (1) recognizing natural disasters; (2) recognizing earthquake disaster mitigation; and (3) and practice of psychological first aid on disaster mitigation. Earthquake Disaster Mitigation Training for disaster volunteers is highly implemented for local volunteers. Follow up: post-training assistance in the disaster and simulation in the implementation of natural disaster mitigation among local disasters volunteers.
