Abstract

Sifilis merupakan Infeksi Menular Seksual yang disebabkan oleh Treponema pallidum dapat mengakibatkan komplikasi berupa aborsi spontan, penghambatan pertumbuhan dalam rahim, kematian perinatal dan
menimbulkan gejala sisa yang serius pada anak-anak dengan infeksi sifilis. Pada wanita penyebab penghalang
utama dari pengobatan sifilis adalah tidak mampunya mengindentifikasi pada wanita hamil yang terinfeksi. Tes
skrining pada trimester pertama bisa dilakukan dengan Tes Non–Treponemal seperti Rapid Plasma Reagen (RPR)
atau Venereal Disease Research Laboratory Test (VDRL) dikombinasikan dengan Fluorescent Treponemal Antibody
Absorption Assay (FTA–ABS) yang merupakan strategi yang dapat menghemat biaya. Pada kondisi yang berisiko
harus diuji ulang pada trimester ketiga dengan pengobatan selama kehamilan harus dengan regimen Penisilin. Penggunaan regimen penisilin harus dilakukan tes alergi sebelum dilakukan pengobatan.
