This study aimed to examine differences in social comparison between Generation Y and Generation Z social media users. This research used a quantitative comparative design with 384 participants selected through incidental sampling. Data were collected using a social comparison scale developed based on Festinger’s theory (α = 0.883). The Mann–Whitney U test showed a significant difference (p < .05), indicating that Generation Z has higher social comparison tendencies than Generation Y. These findings suggest that increased social media exposure may intensify social comparison behavior, particularly among younger users.
