Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in subjective well-being among teachers in underprivileged schools in North Aceh based on marital status. The research method used is a quantitative method with a comparative research design. Data collection in this study utilized a subjective well-being scale modified from the Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) and the Positive Affect Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS), which were adapted by Akhtar (2019). The subjects of this study consisted of 274 teachers from underprivileged schools in North Aceh. The sampling technique employed was non-probability sampling, combining quota sampling to determine the number of samples per district and snowball sampling to facilitate access to respondents in hard-to-reach areas. The results of the study show that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the hypothesis (H0) is rejected, which means that there is a difference in subjective well-being in school teachers who are left behind by marital status in North Aceh.
