Hubungan Sense of Humor dengan Stres Kerja pada Karyawan PERUMDA TIRTA ULI Pematangsiantas

Abstract: This research This research aims to determine the relationship between Sense Of Humor and work stress in employees of Perumda Tirta Uli Pematangsiantar. This research uses a quantitative approach with correlational methods. Subjects consisted of 120 employees selected using total sampling techniques. The data collection technique uses a work stress scale consisting of 30 items and a Sense Of Humor scale consisting of 20 items. Data analysis used Spearman's rho test because the data was not normally distributed. The research results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between Sense Of Humor and work stress (r) 0.343; p < 0.05). This means that the higher the Sense Of Humor, the higher the level of work stress felt. This shows that the Sense Of Humor is not fully effective as a coping mechanism, especially in the aspect of coping with humor, even though the aspect of humor production shows a greater contribution to work stress.

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Sense Of Humor dengan stres kerja pada karyawan Perumda Tirta Uli Pematangsiantar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Subjek terdiri dari 120 karyawan yang dipilih dengan teknik total sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala stres kerja yang terdiri dari 30 aitem dan skala Sense Of Humor yang terdiri dari 20 aitem. Analisis data menggunakan uji Spearman’s rho karena data tidak berdistribusi normal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara Sense Of Humor dengan stres kerja (r) 0,343; p < 0,05). Artinya, semakin tinggi Sense Of Humor, maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat stres kerja yang dirasakan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Sense Of Humor belum sepenuhnya efektif sebagai mekanisme koping, terutama pada aspek coping with humor, meskipun aspek humor production menunjukkan kontribusi yang lebih besar terhadap stres kerja.
