Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan perilaku phubbing pada siswa SMP dan SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian komparatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan perilaku phubbing. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner perilaku phubbing. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 784 siswa dimana siswa SMP 392 dan siswa SMA 392 yang diperoleh berdasarkan teknik cluster sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa H0 diterima dan Ha ditolak, artinya tidak ada perbedaan perilaku phubbing pada siswa SMP dan SMA. Hal ini dikarenakan bahwa siswa SMP dan SMA sama-sama memiliki perilaku phubbing yang tinggi, Phubbing adalah perilaku yang lebih memperhatikan smartphone ketika sedang berkomunikasi dengan orang lain dan mengabaikan orang disekitarnya.
