Gambaran Social Loafing Pada Pengurus Organisasi Himpunan Mahasiswa Psikologi

Abstract


This study aims to describe the dimensions and factors of social loafing carried out by the Psychology Student Association administrators. The method used is descriptive qualitative with interviews and observations involving nine people. The data analysis technique used is the Creswell technique by means of theme analysis and then interpreting the findings in the field. The results of this study indicate that the dimensions of the dilution effect and immediacy gap as well as forms of social loafing carried out by organizational management are not carrying out the tasks assigned to the organization, they do not want to try new jobdesk other than what they usually carry out, they do not provide ideas within the organization and only follow ideas that are given by other members, there is a lack of mutual acquaintance between members, there are problems that occur in the organization, between members are unable to coordinate and communicate when carrying out tasks or activities, lack of concern for other members so that they allow other members not to carry out their responsibilities. Factors that affect social loafing, such as attribution and equality, target regulation is not optimal, contingency is not balanced, group evaluation, group cohesion, distribution of fairness, individual collectivity of co-workers performance, achievement motivation, group size and individual conflict.
