Plagiarism Policies

International Journal of Polymer and Plastics Technology (IJPLAST) has a strict policy against plagiarism and upholds the highest standards of academic integrity. Plagiarism in any form is not acceptable and may lead to serious consequences, including the retraction of published articles.

All submitted manuscripts are subjected to plagiarism screening using Turnitin software. The journal applies a maximum similarity threshold of 25%. Manuscripts that exceed this threshold will be handled according to the severity of the similarity found:

  • Similarity Score between 26%–30%:
The manuscript will receive a formal warning. Authors will be required to revise the manuscript to reduce similarity by properly rephrasing and citing original sources. The revised manuscript must bring the similarity score to 25% or below before it can proceed to peer review.

  • Similarity Score above 30%:
The manuscript will be rejected outright due to excessive similarity and potential academic misconduct.

If plagiarism is detected after publication, the Editor-in-Chief, along with the editorial board, will investigate the case. If confirmed, the journal will issue a formal retraction of the article and notify the relevant institutions and databases.

IJPLAST strongly advises authors to ensure the originality of their work and to properly cite all sources and references used.
