Peer Review Process

Jurnal Sosiologi Dialektika Sosial employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the highest standards of academic integrity, quality, and originality. Upon submission, all manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their relevance, originality, and compliance with the journal’s scope and ethical policies.

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are then sent to at least two independent expert reviewers who remain anonymous to the authors, and vice versa, to provide an unbiased and critical evaluation of the manuscript’s methodology, theoretical contribution, data analysis, and overall scholarly merit.

Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and experience in the manuscript’s subject area, and are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest prior to accepting the review assignment. They evaluate the manuscript for scientific rigor, ethical compliance, clarity, and relevance.

Based on reviewers’ reports, the editorial team makes a decision to accept, reject, or request revisions (minor or major). Authors receive detailed, constructive feedback to improve the manuscript where necessary.

The journal adheres strictly to COPE guidelines to maintain ethical publishing practices, including handling conflicts of interest, plagiarism detection, confidentiality, and appeals. The entire peer review process typically takes 2–4 weeks.
