Journal of Marine Studies (JoMS) is committed to ensuring the widest possible dissemination and discoverability of its published content. To support global accessibility and scholarly visibility, all articles published in JoMS are indexed and abstracted in reputable academic databases, repositories, and indexing services.

In addition to the above, JoMS continuously seeks inclusion in other prominent indexing and citation databases relevant to marine science and interdisciplinary research fields.

2. Metadata and DOI Registration

Each published article is assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through CrossRef, ensuring persistent access, citation tracking, and standardized metadata dissemination across indexing services. The journal employs structured metadata in accordance with international standards (Dublin Core, OAI-PMH) to facilitate interoperability and discoverability.

3. Visibility and Academic Impact

Indexing in reputable databases enhances the global reach and citation potential of published research. By maintaining comprehensive indexing coverage, JoMS supports the visibility, credibility, and scholarly impact of its authors, contributing to the advancement of marine and environmental sciences.

4. Continuous Indexing Efforts

The editorial board regularly reviews and updates the journal’s indexing status to ensure alignment with leading international standards and to expand inclusion in additional citation databases. Updates to indexing information will be announced on the journal’s website as new partnerships and listings are confirmed.
