• AAJ utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system, which creates decentralized, distributed preservation copies of journal content across a global network of participating libraries and institutions. This guarantees that the journal’s content remains accessible even if the publisher’s site becomes unavailable.

• Additionally, AAJ participates in the CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) archive, a community-governed dark archive that preserves content securely and provides a fail-safe to restore access under specific circumstances such as catastrophic failure or discontinuation of publication.
